Here’s how you can cross-check what Amazon’s Echo has been recording

Last week, we reported for a couple of Portland, USA had reported the recording of a private conversation by Amazon Echo device.

Well, now Amazon has revealed how users can find out just what exactly has Echo recorded. A report in USA Today said Amazon makes all recent recordings available for listening in the companion Alexa app for iOS & Android.

To find your recordings, open the app, click the menu on the left side, select Settings & scroll down to History. You can read your phrases, play back the original recording & delete them. When you go through the files, which are sent back to Amazon, you can delete them, one at a time on the app, or in unison in the web app here. The key phrase to look out for is “text not available.” All the “Alexa,” song & podcast requests are spelled out in letters & companion voice recording in the app. The “text not available,” is for those times when Echo got awoken with the wake word, & recorded something that wasn’t a request.
