Google to launch Stadia – ‘live’ streaming gaming service – Quick wrap

The popularity of Online/digital gaming has been on the increase, & obviously Google could not sit this one out any more. We had some hint of Google Stadia game-streaming platform a few weeks ago, but the company gave a full account of it today ahead of E3 next week.

Console is dead?

The Stadia platform will allow users to play console-quality games across a variety of systems on the Chrome browser. The Stadia Pro service will launch this November for US $9.99 per month. What does it get you? A 4K 60fps streaming but for that, you’ll need at least a 35 mbps internet connection to get that speed. Alongside the streaming capabilities, you’ll get access to some Stadia games with the Pro subscription.

Initially, Stadia will be launched in the USA, UK, Canada, Belgium, Finland, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain & Sweden. On mobile, it will be available for Pixel 3 users, for now.
