China’s Internet company Baidu has introduced a new contender to compete with ChatGPT called “ERNIE Bot”.
This expansive language model and generative AI product is now accessible to the general public via app stores and its official Website.
In conjunction with ERNIE (Enhanced Representation through Knowledge Integration), Baidu has outlined its intention to launch a series of AI applications, aiming to provide users with a comprehensive encounter with the four fundamental capabilities of generative AI: comprehension, generation, reasoning, and memory.
By making ERNIE Bot available to the public, particularly targeting the Chinese market, Baidu aims to gather a wealth of human feedback. This strategic move, according to CEO Robin Li, will facilitate more rapid iterations and improvements to ERNIE Bot, thereby enhancing the overall user experience.
