Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been experiencing an outage that has affected a large portion of the World Wide Web. It went down approx. 5:25 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a core provider of internet infrastructure services, is going through a major outage today, and the service’s spotty uptime is now causing huge issues at thousands of other online services across the internet. Almost all major cloud-based software apps that rely on AWS for their backend are currently impacted, from Adobe Spark to Roku, and from Flickr to Autodesk.

Prolonged AWS outage takes down a big chunk of the internet – The Verge

Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon’s internet infrastructure service that is the backbone of many websites and apps, has been experiencing a multi-hour outage that is affecting a large portion of the internet. And as of 5:25PM ET on Wednesday, a full recovery might still be a few hours away, according to Amazon.
