Apple sets up affiliate program for Apple Podcasts – News

Apple has set up an affiliate program wherein by linking to Apple Podcasts as an affiliate, members can earn a one-time payment of 50% on the 1st paid month of every subscription membership. For example, if you link to a podcast subscription costing US $10, you will earn $5 in equivalent commissions. This payment scales globally based on the local market price & where podcasts are available, said Apple in an announcement.

It was only last month that Apple had introduced a paid podcast subscription program under its newly redesigned Apple Podcasts app. Now, with the new affiliate marketing plan, it plans to help podcast creators grow their subscriber base.

The new program — Apple Services Performance Partner Program for Apple Podcasts – is open to anyone in 170 countries & regions.

How Does It Work

Simply fill out an application & it will be reviewed by Apple. After the applicant has been approved for the program, they will be given a unique affiliate token. This is a short string of alphanumeric characters that they will add to all of their Apple Podcasts links. This unique token centralizes all podcast revenue generated from those affiliated links, & is compatible with 3rd-party link tracking services. When one of your listeners clicks on these links & becomes a paid subscriber, the member will receive affiliate commission on all podcast-related subscription purchases made within the next 30 days.
