They may have said goodbye to ‘Yahoo Messenger’, but what do ya know? Now, there’s ‘Yahoo Together’. Yes, Yahoo’s returned to the messaging space after it shut down Messenger a few months ago.
So what does Yahoo Together do? It’s made for group chats between family, friends, & others. Its USP is its ability to organize group conversations into separate topics, similar to the IRC model, & its ability to send smart reminders about upcoming events.
Yahoo! was working on this phone titled ‘Squirrel’ under cover, & of course, it’s been designed by the same tea of Messenger. The difference is Yahoo Together was built on a new messaging platform.
We at Whats New On The Net wonder how different is Together going to be from the different messaging apps available out there already.
