Here’s some breaking news….messaging app WhatsApp has said it was testing new features, including one which will put a number on the number of forwards per message.
WhatsApp said on its official blog late Thursday that it was launching a test to limit forwarding that will apply to everyone using WhatsApp. In India, specifically, which has seen mob violence based on rumors spread on the messaging app, WhatsApp will be testing an even lower limit of forwards only to 5 chats at once. It will also remove the quick forward button next to media messages.
Team WhatsApp has emphasized that it was started as a private messaging app for friends, & would like to keep things that way.
