Malicious cryptocurrency code infects Sites: Report


The Register Website has reported that 1000s of Sites, including ones run by the US & UK Govts were infected on Sunday with code that caused Web browsers to secretly mine digital currencies.

Over 4,200 sites were infected with a malicious version of a widely used tool known as ‘Browsealoud’ from British software maker Texthelp, which reads out Webpages for people with vision problems, said the news report.
