Yahoo introduces password on demand

Internet company Yahoo says it has licked the problem of remembering account passwords….which is, don’t remember ém at all. That’s right. Yahoo has come out with a new way to allow users who have fogotten their passwords to log in to your Yahoo account. It is called Password On Demand.

Here’s what it says on its official blog:

We’ve made the steps easy to follow – check them out below.

1)    Sign in to your Yahoo.com account.

2)    Click on your name at the top right corner to go to your account information page.

3)    Select “Security” in the left bar.

4)    Click on the slider for “On-demand passwords” to opt-in.

5)    Enter your phone number and Yahoo will send you a verification code.

6)    Enter the code and voila!

For now, the Yahoo password on demand service is available only for US users, but obviously, those around the world will get it soon.

Our take: But the ‘Forget Password’ button is almost, always helpful in matters of forgotten passwords. All you need is to ask the email service to send the new password to your alternate email address.
