Ever since the original convenient, Online payment system, PayPal came along years ago, mobile apps have gained a lot of popularity because of their ease of use when shopping from a smartphone. Now, Venmo, which is also brought to you by PayPal, & is one of the world’s most popular payment apps, has released a Mastercard branded debit card that users can employ anywhere a traditional card is accepted, including ATMs.

With Venmo on your phone, you can send cash quickly between friends & make payments at most Online stores. You can also split purchases between a group of friends, so that you split a tab easily & conveniently at a bar or restaurant for group dinners or easily pony up for a share of your friend’s birthday gift.

Venmo has released this debit card that works like any other bank card. That is, you can use it practically anywhere offline, except that it works with your Online Venmo account, too.

Among the benefits of using the card:

The Venmo app & card uses PayPal’s legendary Online security infrastructure & your account information remains private & protected, including scan protection. You can keep track of your finances, always knowing what you’ve bought & from whom, what you owe & what friends owe you.

A “Don’t panic” button is included in the Venmo app for when you misplace or lose your card. It disables the card & you can easily re-enable it if you find it. Another interesting feature of the app is that you can add notes to your shared payments using emojis or comment or like your friends’ stories on social media.

You can get the card directly from the Venmo app, which is available for Android at the Google Play store here & for the iPhone on the Apple Store here.
