Radstone’s EarStudio ES100  is for those of us that have bought a recent model iPhone or other modern smartphone lately & miss the great sound available from high-end earphones. Phones without jacks are taking over, but BlueTooth headphones aren’t quite there qualitywise.

This gadget from Radstone measures 1×2-inch & includes a clip for your shirt or pants. It has both 3.5mm & 2.5mm jack connections for your headphones & built-in microphone controls so that it can be used as a headset. The EarStudio hooks up to your phone via BlueTooth & streams high-end AAC & AptX HD-quality audio. Most BlueTooth support only standard AptX.

It contains some high tech wizardry, including AK4375a DACs that can power up audiophile-quality headphones. It even upsamples sound with its outstanding sound engine. It’s built using sturdy, lightweight plastic & comes with an excellent app that lets you tweak your sound.

Another great feature of the EarStudio is that it can be used with your computer as an external sound card so that the gadget can drive high-quality speakers, either connecting via BlueTooth or via the USB port.

It will work for up to 14 hours on a single charge, according to Radstone, so you’ll get a lot more continuous playback than with any BlueTooth headphones or dongle, & you won’t be draining your phone’s battery. It also contains the following features:

The EarStudio ES100 was 1st developed through a highly successful crowdfunding effort on Kickstarter & Indiegogo in 2017. The company is based in Redwood City, California, USA & the product is available online here for US $99.
