The entire World Wide Web & indeed the rest of the world was agog with news coming in that the Twitter accounts of major companies & personalities were compromised in one of the biggest digital currency scams ever.

The Twitter bitcoin scam has already earned its creator (s), unnamed so far, large sums of money, some say ranging in thousands of dollars. Some of the hacked accounts belonged to former US President Barack Obama, former US VP Joe Biden, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, the Apple & pop star Kanye West.

Within hours of the attack, people were duped into sending more than $118,000 to the hackers, said reports. Actually, the bitcoin scam really started with the hacking of Elon Musk’s official account. Each of the Twitter accounts that was hacked has millions of followers, & they were asked to promote a bitcoin scam, wherein the scammer (s) asked them to send bitcoin currency to a specific cryptocurrency wallet, with the promise that money sent would be doubled.
