Tata Communications launches Grand India IoT Innovation Challenge – IoT

There’s a new Internet of Things (IoT) contest on the horizon. India’s Tata Communications has invited students in India to participate in a 3-month-long Innovation Challenge on the Internet of Things (IoT), it said in an announcement.

The theme explained
Students will have to build an IoT solution for digital transformation needs. This, the company said, will enable stakeholders in society to make data driven proactive business decisions, thereby enhancing customer engagement & transforming workspace into a smart environment. The solutions may enable them to increase productivity or explore innovative business models powered by the IoT solutions.

Digital push for India
With The Grand IoT Innovation Challenge, the company believes it was offering engineering students, a platform to design & create innovative solutions that can directly impact millions of lives. It is also focusing on building capabilities across the IoT stack to be a leader in the rapidly growing IoT ecosystem space.

Prizes
The winner will take home INR 5,00,000, whereas the 1st Runner Up will win Rs 3,00,000 & the 2nd Runner Up INR Rs. 1,50,000.
