Mark Zuckerberg, Founder of Facebook has blogged that as of today, the Off-Facebook Activity tool was available to people on Facebook around the world.
Other Sites dependent wholly on advertising send FB information about a member’s activity on them based on which FB shows members ads that are relevant. Now all FB members can see a summary of that information & clear it from their account if they want to.
Off-Facebook Activity marks a new level of transparency & control, claimed FB.
Introducing Alerts for Third-Party Logins
Mark Z. also announced alerts of Facebook Login via notifications. FB Login allows members to sign in to other apps & services, like games & streaming platforms, using your Facebook account. Login Notifications will alert members when they use Facebook Login to sign in to 3rd-party apps to help them stay aware.
Off-Facebook Activity lets members see a summary of the apps & Websites that send FB information about a member’s activity. This, said FB, was another way to give people more transparency & control on Facebook.
