Social media addiction may not be as much of a far fetched concept as you think, as I’m sure you & your friends are constantly enthralled by those blue dots & other tells of what’s most often meaningless posts, likes, hearts… This app can help you cut down & make you more efficient & help you concentrate on the things that really matter.
Once you have Sense on your device it will automatically track the amount of time you spend on social media. You can see which social media apps you’re using the most. Then, you can go ahead & set daily limits on your use & even block access to the apps when you exceed your self-imposed daily limit. Sense becomes “an agent or personal assistant for “fighting against wasting time & procrastination…”
The app will automatically track time on a bunch of the most popular social media sites & apps: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, Tumblr, LinkedIn, & Twitter.
Installing & trying out the app is free & you can download it from the Apple App store here. Once the trial period is over, you’ll have to do an in-app purchase to install the full version & continue using it. Currently, monthly subscription goes for US $9.99/month, which is charged to your iTunes account.
The subscription automatically renews itself each month unless you auto-renew is turned off for at least 24-hours before the end of the monthly billing period.
The app is under development by Russia-based programmer Roman Tsopin who has also created other iOS apps like ‘Kanban’ which implements the well known Japanese productivity system & ‘ColorFit’, for choosing the correct color combinations for your clothes or interiors.
