There was a plethora of announcement at Google’s I/O developer conference on Tuesday. 1 of them was the ML Kit, a software development kit (SDK) for app developers on iOS & Android that allows them to integrate into their apps a number of pre-built Google-provided machine learning models. Even more, these models will support text recognition, face detection, barcode scanning, image labeling & landmark recognition, available both online and offline, depending on network availability and the developer’s preference.
