Facebook testing “Accounts Center” – News

Facebook has is testing a consumer-facing tool called “Accounts Center,” which is found in the Settings section of Facebook, Instagram & Messenger. It aims to give users the ability to manage their connected experiences across Facebook-owned apps like Instagram, Single Sign On, etc.

Facebook said in “Accounts Center” you can easily turn any of these connected experiences off or on including Single Sign On, which lets you log in & recover your accounts more easily, & cross-posting, which lets you share the same story or post on both Instagram & Facebook. For now, in the US, you can enter your payment information once on Facebook & then use Facebook Pay to make secure purchases and donations across Facebook & Instagram

FB hastened to add that using Accounts Center did not mean you need to have the same identity across all its apps. But it allows you to sync your name & profile photo across the apps. That way, if you change your name or your profile photo on Facebook, it will update on Instagram as well. If you change your mind, you can stop your name & profile photos from syncing going forward.
