‘DropDesk’ is ideal tool if you manage or are seeking coworking space

If you’re a freelancer, independent contractor, entrepreneur starting out, or just a independent worker with no permanent base, then you may have heard of, or have even used what’s called a coworking space. In these spots you have access to a shared workspace with office amenities, drop areas & conference rooms.

‘DropDesk’ is a network of coworking spaces where you can search for local workspaces, & if you operate one of them, you can outsource your space’s management by using their powerful coworking platform.

Graham Beck, the New York, USA-based CEO of DropDesk, says the idea for the startup came to him a couple of years ago when Hurricane Sandy destroyed offices in his native Long Beach, NY. While trying to provide temporary offices for the local workforce, his team built DropSpace to take on the lack of robust tools for managing coworking spaces.

DropDesk uses an innovative approach to market & manage a community of distributed, local workspaces & coworking spaces. It’s a solution for coworking space management, marketing & lead generation, as well as a social networking tool, all under 1 unified portal. Other currently available tools are a hodgepodge of tools without any unifying characteristics.

Although they’re still small & currently mainly focused on the east coast of the US, the company is rapidly growing. It’s concluding their beta testing phase & is getting ready to release version 1 of the platform. They’re currently looking to increase the size of their community of influencers/operators.

If you want to find a workspace in your area, you can just browse locations here. You’ll be taken to a geolocated site with spots near you. You can narrow your choices to the following: Drop-ins, coworking, meeting space, private office or events.
