virtual store

Online retail marketplace ‘storr’ has launched a peer to peer platform that makes it easy for retail entrepreneurs to launch their own virtual store on mobile devices, & earn commission on every product they sell.

Storr is all about bringing personalization to retail marketing while commercializing & leveraging social networks.

While there are a lot of options for retailers to open up an Online market place even with little or no technical skills, storr wants to take away all the stress & barriers associated with managing such a store.

The company wants to make it possible for anyone to launch a virtual store with goods from top brands & earn commission from selling those products.

Using the new storr phone app, you can open a virtual store in just a matter of minutes.

Users simply need to choose a name & select items from top brands they would like to host on their store. These items are automatically integrated into their store & they earn a commission when anyone buys these products.

Retailers can earn between 15- 30% commission depending on the brand.

Storr takes away all the hassles typically associated with managing a virtual store like inventory, product shipping, & dealing with returns. These are all handled by the brands themselves. Users can specialize in any niche they want & leverage their social media influence to sell goods to their friends & followers.

Shoppers will be able to purchase goods on a retailer’s store through the storr mobile app or Website.

Also, retailers can easily link their store to their personal profile across all their social media platforms.

Currently, there are about 175 brands offering more than 30,000 items for sale. This leaves retailers with plenty of products from various niches to choose from.

Founded in San Francisco, USA in 2016 by Eric & Jasen Sean, storr has raised close to $8 million in seed capital till date, with the latest round of US $3 mln.

The company has been on a soft launch phase for some weeks now with about 30,000 sellers signed up already. Storr is now opening up officially to the general public.
