Use ‘Text to Emoji’ to spice up your messaging on mobile for free – New app

These days we all do more texting than voice calling on our phones & 1 of the best ways to get your point across when texting is use emojis & emoticons. Text to Emoji is an app that lets those of us who aren’t emoji wizards make use of these symbols & impress our friends, family, colleagues & classmates.

Time was when you can conjure up emoticons from combinations of text & punctuation marks. Things have gotten a bit more graphic, & of course you can just doddle around or research the meanings of thousands of possible symbols Online, but this app makes it far easier for you. The app integrates with your Android keyboard & lets you choose from those thousands of emoticons, directly from the keyboard.

You start by filling in some text that you want to translate & the app does the rest, suggesting a translation with the appropriate emojis & letting you choose from alternate symbols. The app will also create geographic patterns for you, representing letters, made out of emojis.

When you’re done, you can share your creation directly to Facebook from the app, or copy to the clipboard & paste into any messaging app.

If you’re really tired of using everyday English & want to get alternate takes on converting your texts to emojis, you may want to try out other apps like Emoji Translate, Emojily, Emojilator & a few others that are available on Android & iPhone. Or if you really feel adventurous, you can just make things up as you go along, undoubtedly a lot of laughs will ensue.

This app was developed by Satyadipan Maiti of PhoenixLab & is at version 1.1. There’s a free Android version available on the Google Play store here
