TikTok owners launch app called ‘Duoshan’ – Quick wrap

News from the world’s most popular app – Tiktok. China’s tech unicorn ByteDance that operates TikTok today announced the launch of ‘Duoshan’, a video-based social messaging app in Beijing.

A report said Duoshan, which means “many flashes” in Chinese, is designed in a way that encourages users to share moments with their family and friends through videos.

While TikTok incentivizes users to follow celebrities, Duoshan is built for private messaging. It offers a selection of special effects & filters as most other short-video apps do these days. The videos disappear after 72 hours.
