‘Sunday’ lets you sort your photos from various platforms into albums

sunday

‘Sunday’ is a picture browsing smartphone & Web app that allows you sort all your photos into albums. Imagine all your photos in 1 place without the need of moving from one app to the other. Sunday does just that for you. With most of your valuable pics spread over various platforms such as Gmail, Picasa Web album, Facebook, Instagram & Flickr among others, this startup will come in handy.

Sunday will save you from downloading, copy-pasting & uploading photos from across your social media platforms. It helps you gather photos from all these services & enable you to make albums from these pictures. After creating the album, you can then share these collections through the mail to your friends. The app’s email-based sharing is great in that the person you are sharing with doesn’t need to have a Sunday account.

Sunday also gathers photos shared by your friends. Well, this means in the case of Facebook, you will be able to get every photo that you’ve been tagged in despite how deep it is on your Facebook wall. This app will let you rediscover all your forgotten memories in an instant.

Does the app cater for the privacy of your photos? They cater for this by allowing you control who can see each album as well as with whom you want to share it. Also, the participants that you have shared the album with can improve them by adding their own photos. Sunday’s updated version has also added new thumbnails so that you can browse faster in full screen. A new map view has been included that helps you remember your various trips.

Features:

Some of the other functions that developers have incorporated in the app are the zoom & select feature. You are also able to hide your unwanted photos. In addition to bringing all your photos under one platform, Sunday doesn’t move/delete them from your accounts. Therefore, the ‘Received’ & ‘Sent’ attachments in Gmail or photos from your tips in Foursquare will remain intact.

What about duplicates? We all know how they use up the limited spaces we have on our devices. Well, Sunday’s developers use a special tech to hide the duplicate photos. In case there is a better version of that picture, the app shows that photo automatically.

Sunday is currently available only on App Store. The apps updated version is free & requires iOS 8.0 or later. It is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch & iPad.

Sunday is also available as a Web app, & is compatible with any PC, Mac & Android browsers. The app’s co-founders are Laurent Chenay & Jean Friesewinkel from France & Belgium, respectively.
