Sell your service as a product with ‘Servicebot’ – #Startups

This Website has profiled countless startups to date. A common theme we found is the fact that they offer subscription services. Most of them can attest to the fact that getting customers to pay for the product is no easy task. Servicebot is no different, atleast on that front. However what they’re selling is the ability to streamline the selling of software services.

Servicebot offers quite some useful features. Among them is a catalog designer. This way users can define their offerings, their different prices & display them on their Sites. Another tricky area to maneuver is that of free trials. Converting those trials to actual subscriptions is quite tricky. This platform will email free trial users ever so often to convert into paying customers. Since this does not always work servicebot will cancel a service automatically once the trial period is over.

Custom services is also another area where this service offers help. The charges are different for each client so posting prices beforehand might be difficult. The solution is pretty simple. Customers can request a quote through servicebot allowing the company to give definitive answers.

This platform supports both one-off subscriptions as well as recurrent charges on a service. Since the process is automated, the proprietors of each service will only need to collect their money once it is debited from their clients.

Although rare, sometimes a service might add a few extra features to its repertoire. Since they are not covered under the initial subscription, they might need to upsell the customers on them. Servicebot allows for this kind of upsells as well as supports add-ons to an initial service offering.

While all the above features are useful, it goes a notch higher to give reports on various metrics the user might need. Having an overview of how many customers you have on-boarded also doesn’t hurt.

The team that created servicebot consists of 6 individuals led by Shar Darafsheh. Shahrzard Darafsheh is the creative director while Martin Levine holds the post of strategic advisor.

Once the free trial is over companies can choose to pay either monthly or annual fees to continue using the platform.
