Say bye to data breach, Aye to secure, safe browsing – #Startups

Online privacy

Are you fed up of being welcomed by annoying unsolicited auto-play video adverts, pop-up commercials as soon as you tap into your account Online? Or are wary of your presence on social media & feel that every move of yours is being tracked & can be misused? Your Online privacy is of paramount important to you. Breathe easy, as the ‘Asora’ browser plugin aims at blocking hidden trackers.

The mission

Asora’s mission, as its Website states, “is to restore your (Online) privacy by driving change in today’s digital advertising model. To obliterate data predators. To give you absolute control of the Content you view.”

You must remember that 87 million users had their Online privacy violated by the data breach by Facebook, states the Asora Site. Therefore, it is paramount that user data is secured & safe.

The platform was borne out of a need for privacy & for control by the user about what happens with their data. As a result, anyone using the plugin should inherently feel safer & more secure as they go about their business online.

How does it work

Firstly, Asora blocks all trackers running in the background of Websites & social media Sites aiming to collect information about the user. That done, the middlemen who profit of selling other people’s data will be cut off.  Consequently, Asora will then block ads.

However, there are bound to be some sneaky ads that fall through the cracks. The moment such an ad is reported, team Asora will immediately start working to prevent the repeat of the breach.

Win-win for all

Users will agree that it is their data that is being used unethically. Therefore, if advertisers want to have that information, then they will have to seek permission for it. Also, the person giving up his data should be rewarded & even paid for it. The platform hopes to effect such a change in the future where people benefit from sharing their data.

Block ads, get rewarded

Asora will reward users with tokens every time an ad is blocked on their computer. The fact that the tokens can be converted to currency once someone has accrued enough is something to write home about.

Also, the fewer the ads, the more time you spend on your preferred Online pursuits.

Asora Inc was founded by Aziz Ergashev, also the CEO, in April 2018. The company is based in San Jose, California, USA.
