Wish to share that hilarious YouTube video with your friends but having trouble searching it all over the Internet? Do not fret, for ‘Bookmark It‘ will help you create bookmarks so you never lose sight of your favorite YouTube videos.
That agonizing search
It is a hassle to look for the YouTube video you wish to watch again. There are times when you may have forgotten the title of the video or the search may through up other videos with almost similar titles & tags. Also, this exercise eats up your valuable time.
Why Bookmark It
The platform is a browser extension for Google Chrome. There are plans underway to expand to Mozilla Firefox & even to create an app of the same on the Android platform. Like the name suggests, the extension will help users create bookmarks. It is very specific to YouTube videos with an easy-to-use interface. So now, you will have all of your bookmarks in one place.
You privacy being of utmost importance, Bookmark It makes sure that there is no data breach. They do not show ads neither do they collect the user’s information from the activities associated with their account. However, they will have a record of the user’s name & email.
There are currently 2 packages to choose from. A free pack & a paid ‘Power pack’. The paid pack offers more functionality in what the platform can do. Your account can be synced across devices which means the bookmarks will be available on your phone, laptop & desktop.
- You may pick out the best parts of a video & skip the rest.
- Access all your saved bookmarks on your mobile device.
- If you don’t like the colors on the User Interface (UI), you may customize it by changing them to your favorite ones.
However, this is all still ‘in development’.
The platform is the brainchild of Miguel Crespo, Senior Software Developer from Colombia.
