Talk of PCs getting tinier & tinier…..& of course, more portable. Kangaroo is a portable Windows 10 mobile desktop PC which puts the full functionality & power of 64-bit Windows 10 computing on the palm of your hand.

You heard right. A portable mobile desktop PC Tablet may sound like a contradiction in terms, but that’s the way Kangaroo works – all you have to do to access all Windows 10 desktop programs & files is plug the Kangaroo to a mouse, keyboard & monitor. Kangaroo shrinks a powerful Microsoft Windows 10 PC into a form factor that goes anywhere & works with any screen. By connecting Kangaroo to a mouse, keyboard & monitor or to an iPad, a user can access all Windows 10 desktop programs & files.

“Kangaroo is the first product to allow you to use the same PC for all applications, in any environment,” according to Lawrence Yen, Director of Kangaroo, Product Marketing. “Unlike stick PCs & other pocket PCs, Kangaroo works with all of your existing devices & can be docked at home or tossed in your bag to use anywhere, powering & providing Windows 10 access on the go.”

You can just as well connect it to an iPad if you want to use Windows 10 on the iPad in Tablet mode. You’ll have to make use of the OSLinx Windows Monitor (Available on the App Store – iPad & Windows software downloads).

As for the specs, the Kangaroo is powered by an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 Processor featuring a fan less design, ultra-quiet performance , 2GB Memory & four hours of battery life. It’s only 14mm thick & lightweight, so you can literally put your mobile desktop PC on the palm of your hand like a smartphone or Tablet.

portable pcKangaroo has 32GB of storage & can be upgraded for additional storage with a large-capacity microSD card. Obviously, you can use it as an external hard drive. A Windows Hello embedded fingerprint reader provides easy login & maximum personal security without passwords.

It’s all encased in a sleek & stylish all-black premium satin aluminum casing. The modular Kangaroo Dock is already included with the Kangaroo, but you will also soon be able to use different docks with the Kangaroo.

It can also provide remote access via a hardware Action Switch, allowing users to gain direct access to the Windows 10 desktop even when there is no WiFi.

Affordably priced at US $99, Kangaroo is now available at Newegg.com now & will be available at the Microsoft Store Online & retail locations by mid-November.

Irvine, California, USA-based Kangaroo is an independent subsidiary of visual collaboration pioneer InFocus Corporation. The latter is the maker of the modern-day projector & of collaboration solutions for video walls, control rooms, among others.
