‘Focus Board’ makes Web surfing distraction-free – #Startups

The Internet is a marvelous thing, isn’t it? It has made the world a smaller place, while at the same time, filling it with boundless information, which has made access to data available to anyone with a connection. The only real problem is all the superfluous side distractions, which are so often displayed on pages – mostly advertising. So, what if you could eliminate anything you disliked from a page you regularly visit, what if you could view the information you’re after without any distractions, that would be great, don’t you think?

Well, ‘Focus Board’, a Chrome extension, has made surfing the Web free of irritating advertising entirely possible. This tool built by Pawel Urbane ‘scrapes’ only the relevant data which you might find useful from any Website, & allows you to save it for future visits on a dashboard within the app.

Focus Board has been developed as a ‘Visual Scraper Tool’ – in other words, all interactions happen in your line of sight. To use the application, download it from the Google Chrome Store, sign up with Google & begin your distraction-free, Internet experience. Any area of a Website that you find interesting can be selected using Focus Board’s handy selection tool & transferred to your dashboard. Now, the section that you’ve added to the app, may be configured in any personally pleasing fashion – say by disabling annoying pop-ups. Once added, the area you’ve copied will be available, on-app, as a ‘live’ Site.

Additionally, Focus Board allows you to copy more than one section from multiple Websites & view all at a glance. So, to find out more about ’distraction-free’ Internet, visit the Website & start a 2 week free trial, to see if this app suits your needs.
