Easy tracking of social media accounts with this tool

social media tracking

Keeping track of what is happening on your social media feeds can be challenging. Specially if your job is tracking social analytics. Monitoring across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, & Vine, just got easier with a new Content discovery tool which is currently in beta.

CrowdTangle, based out of Philadelphia, USA allows you to track & compare as many accounts as you wish, from partners to competitors to influencers. You are always on top of your game, with a customized dashboard which allows you to track how posts on your pages, or the pages you are interested in, are performing relative to the average engagement of that page. CrowdTangle has been around since 2011 but what you now see is V-2.

Everything you are interested in gets routed to your Inbox, with alerts when some feed goes viral. You can even download the entire post history of any of your social accounts. The latter can be of help when a user is researching a new campaign or planning a social editorial calendar? Download the post history of any Facebook Page, YouTube Channel, or Instagram Account, going all the way back to its very 1st post.

The company tracks keywords & “hard-working” URLs, so that the a CrowdTangle user will know what people are most interested in. In addition to tracking specific accounts, users can also monitor the best-performing posts based on keywords. This means you can follow what’s happening around major events, breaking news, brand mentions, influencers, or even track words like “wow” or “amazing.”

The company became an official partner of Facebook last July, & there’s just been no looking back.

Founded by Brandon Silverman & Matt Garmur, CrowdTangle is funded by Lerer Hippeau Ventures, betaworks, the Box Group & the Knight Foundation. These chaps have some illustrious clients like L’Oreal, PBS, Upworthy, Greenpeace, to name a few.
