Design & prototype awesome VR scenes on your Mac with ‘Ottifox’

This article was 1st published on our sister Site, Digital World Native.

Designing & coding interactive Virtual Reality (VR) & Augmented Reality (AR) scenes for your browser can be very difficult to do. Ottifox provides you with a design & prototyping tool that lets you get VR scenes running in the browser without having to write any code.

The toolsets available for AR & VR design are very intimidating & have a long learning curve. Ottifox is an application that you can use on your Mac that looks a lot like the popular Sketch app. It’s meant to be used by a designer to quickly prototype scenes that can then be handed off to a team of coders to develop them further.

Ottifox natively integrates with Google’s Poly VR/AR library. Here you can find & distribute a wide range of thousands of VR & AR objects. With Poly, users can use the Brush painting app & Blocks for sculpting & then take it to Google’s development environment based on ARCore or Apple’s ARKit.
