This one is great for developers, ‘DejaVideo’ records your screen – #Startups

Ever had this happen to you? You’ve been working on an app or project & you altered something, but later you can’t remember what that was. Suddenly, your app is broken &  you don’t know how to retrieve it.

Software developers  know this scenario all too well. They’ve been there often, & there’s just no way of telling what has actually happened, often they just have to return to the drawing board, & rework their application from the ground up. This is obviously time consuming. If only there was a way to step back in time & find out what went wrong, if only there was a method to reproduce the computer screen to see the fault.

Well, DejaVideo built by Jasper Hartong (available for Mac), is an application, which developers might find useful in solving the ‘what did I do’ problem. DejaVideo is a desktop screen recorder, which works in the background, & continuously records everything that occurs on screen. Imagine…being able to go back in time & see the point at which the data was broken, to see the ‘thing’, which resulted in the break.

Jasper promises that the application works offline & is conservative on the computer’s battery. Therefore, there’s simply no obstacle to having DejaVideo act a a ‘screen-cam’ (as opposed to webcam) for your device, it acts as a silent, & cost efficient, witness to everything you do on your computer. The recording may be exported to Quick Time at any point, offering full reporting on the most recent event. Also, the application is completely free to use. So, to download the app & start recording, head over to DejaVideo’s Website.
