All of us know that making money Online is still something that even biggies like Twitter have still to get the hang off.
Last week, an observation by Facebook’s Chief Financial Officer David Wehner set the Online world abuzz. He said Facebook Inc. was toying with the idea of allowing businesses to contact users through WhatsApp. Which means, 1 of the ways WhatsApp was contemplating earning revenue was through B2C chat.
“We think that enabling that B2C messaging has good business potential for us,” David Wehner, Facebook’s chief financial officer, said at a JPMorgan technology conference Monday in Boston.
While it’s still early on whether WhatsApp will ultimately adopt the B2C chat, the remark had a lot of reactions coming in from players Online. Will it be good for customers? Or will it be another annoyance for WhatsApp users? We reproduce some of them below.
