Apple, on Monday, introduced a new app for HomeKit at the WWDC conference. Through iCloud, the new app will offer users an interface for monitoring iOS-connected home automation accessories using the HomeKit framework for developers.
Before this, users were only able to control HomeKit accessories using Siri voice commands & some 3rd party apps. But Apple’s new app will offer a visual view of accessories & the ability to manage & monitor all HomeKit accessories from one central location.
