Super Siri on the way? Apple planning to bring in Proactive in iOS 9

There’s a lot of buzz around Apple’s upcoming iOS 9. Signs are it will happen at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8.
Now it emerges that Apple’s intelligent digital assistant Siri is slated to take on a more pro-active role in iOS 9. According to a report in 9to5Mac, the new tool called Proactive, which includes Siri, will take that digital assistant to a new level. Siri has been around since 2011, from the time of the launch of the iPhone 4S.
Proactive, it is said, will go much further to integrate with a user data. To begin with, Proactive will become a new layer within the iOS operating system, replacing the pulldown Spotlight menu currently found on the iOS Home screen.
Like Google Now, Proactive will also automatically provide timely information based on the user’s data and device usage patterns.
Proactive will use not only Siri but a phone contacts, calendars, the Passbook app, & even 3rd party apps to provide users with all sorts of info.
