Android 7.0 Nougat released for Nexus phone

Google has announced the release of Android 7.0 Nougat to Nexus devices.

According to a post on its official blog, Android said it had taken a different approach to building & launching Nougat. It had invited developers to take a sneak peek at ‘Android N’ back in March 2016, so they could bring their apps to the new platform earlier.

Google had also asked people to help us come up with names for this year’s release, resulting in lots of great ideas, and the official unveiling back in June.

The final version of Android Nougat “reflects inputs from 1000s of fans & developers all over the world. There are over 250 major features in Android Nougat.
