Amazon Underground – Get premium Android apps for free. Better believe it.

Andriod app users, here’s something that will get your attention. e-commerce Site Amazon has announced an Android app called Amazon Underground, where you can get even premium apps for free. Here, you can find everything that’s there in the conventional Amazon app as well as a revamped store for Android apps & games. The Amazon Underground app, say Online reports, has the potential to replace both the Amazon app as well as the Appstore.
This is how it works:
Amazon has partnered with developers to make the premium apps available free. These apps are usually paid apps, but Amazon’s found a different way to compensate the developers. The shopping Site will pay developers based on how long users use a particular app. This will be monitored in real time by Amazon. Amazon has already tried this strategy with the Kindle Unlimited subscription service — the company pays royalties to writers based on how many pages are read by readers.
In the Amazon Underground app, you will also find paid apps, freemium apps & physical/digital goods. The entire Amazon Appstore catalog moves to the Amazon Underground app. The only addition is the “actually free” program.
Amazon customers will have to download the Amazon Underground app directly from the Amazon Website.
Everything’s good but we have to ask, what’s with the Underground name?
