We all know the hazards of typing on our mobile phones while walking or driving a car. Yet, most of us continue to do so ( put your hand on you heart & swear you don't?). Occasionally this "bad habit" gets us into trouble. We end up banging our head on a wall, tripping over a hurdle, or worse, falling down from a moving bus.
This Smartphone App called Type n Walk allows you to type on the phone while simultaneously giving you a real time view of what lies ahead on your path, thus, claiming to make the process "smarter". So how does it do it? Check out the video below.
Type n Walk gives you a transparent view of the road in front of you, & combined with your peripheral vision, allows you to "see" what lies ahead of you & around you, even as you type using your phone's keypad. For this, you need to open the App & start typing. While you are doing that, the App uses your phone's internal camera to stream a view of the road ahead, right on your phone screen. You can thus use the 'viewport' to type while you walk, or for that matter, sit or stand. So, no more falling into open manholes while you are texting a friend, eh?
Once you have finished typing out your message, you can send it using any one of the following methods: by SMS, as a tweet, by email, or through any other App that accepts text messages.
Type n Walk is a paid App ( cost: US $0.99) designed by CGActive LLC, & can only be installed on an iPhone only...no, not even on an iPad....for now.
