YouTube’s added more features to ‘live’ streaming – #News

Some cheer for lovers of ‘live’ streaming on YouTube. The latter’s just rolled out more features to make itself even more appealing to ‘live’ streamers.

The new features include the ability for iPhone users to stream directly to YouTube from their phone’s screen, a feature that was previously available to those on Android. In addition, YouTube is introducing the ability to live stream in real time with little latency, & is adding new tools for easier chat moderation, according to a post on its official blog.

Here’s part of the blog post:

We know how important it is to be able to immediately engage your fans during live streams. Thanks to ultra-low latency, now you can. Enabling ultra low-latency makes it possible to stream video with just a couple seconds of latency, so you’ll be able to answer fan questions and get viewer input during your “Let’s Plays” faster than ever before. It’s easy to set up and doesn’t require any special software or encoders to work.
