You can use the ‘Tapster’ robot to automate smartphone app testing

If you want to test your apps in a physical real-world environment with actual screen tapping, pinching, dragging & clicking, you would normally have to resort to cumbersome manual handling of phones by real users. Instead, now you can use Tapster, an affordable robot that will work with phones as well as watches & IoT devices.

Tapster works by simulating a human finger on a capacitive touchscreen device. The actual robot is 3D printed & controlled by an Arduino client. You can use it to automate repetitive interactions on touchscreen devices, resulting in huge potential savings on human testing.
