‘RequestForVC’ helps you in engaging venture capitalists on Twitter

If you’re looking to get introduced to a VC, get advice on how to put together or improve a pitch deck or a blog post, or just need general VC-related help, then you might want to check out RequestForVC.

This new free resource for startups or would-be startups was inspired by the RequestForStartup Site which asks participants to tweet startup ideas using the hashtag #RequestForStartup. The site gathers up the tweets & ranks them according to the number of times the ideas have been retweeted or favorited. When someone tweets a link to the original idea’s tweet with hashtag #claim & the original tweeter verifies it, all voters are notified of the product’s progress.

Likewise, the RequestForVC Site purports to be a place for people involved in startups & for VCsto help each other. If you use the hashtag #RequestForVC in a tweet & ask any VC-related question, hopefully others will retweet or provide answers & both tweets & any pursuant discussion including the hashtag will be featured in the Site.

The Site also helpfully encourages the use & provides a link to the Startup Pitch Decks Site, which is a good resource for examples of pitch decks from real startups that have already raised lots of VC.

RequestForVC is a simple idea put together by London, UK-based social media expert & Community Lead Ben Tossell. He hopes that more & more people use the resource, since the more people tweet using the hashtag, the more populated & useful it will be for everyone.
