‘WALTR 2’ lets you drag & drop Content to Apple devices without iTunes

If you’re an iPhone, iPad or even an iPod user, you know how burdensome & frustrating it can be to get your Content into your device from a Mac or Windows computer. WALTR 2 has just been launched to make life easier for users so that you can wirelessly drag & drop just about any type of file into iOS devices & iPods.

The 1st version of WALTR was released by Softorino, a Hutington Beach, California, USA-based startup, 2 years ago, so that iTunes users could skip Apple’s clunky interface to seamlessly drag & drop music or video into iOS devices. Now WALTR v2 extends the type of Content that can be copied to your device to also include: ringtones, PDF & ePUB files as well, without having to use iTunes.

WALTR 2 also extends its capabilities by letting you drop MKV, AVI, APE & FLAC files, so that FLAC files remain on your Apple device via an ALAC conversion.

Other new features introduced in this version are:

  • Automated metadata recognition – WALTR 2 will recognize & fill in title, genre, actor info & episode description
  • WiFi transfer support – the app will hook up to any WiFi enabled iOS device it finds on your network & automatically connect to them, & will provide up to 5 MB/second upload speed
  • Non-iOS device support for 20+ legacy iPods, including the original iPod Classic from 2001, supporting all music formats, including lossless, which allows you to put to good use your old devices that have been gathering dust
  • Subtitles conversion tech to ensure subtitle compatibility
  • Smart encoding detection via an AI algorithm that detects broken 1-bit text encryption & locates the proper language for it

You can buy WALTR 2 from Softorino’s Store here, for €36.58 for a Windows or Mac single user lifetime license. Other options are available with discounts for 2 devices, or 5 devices with the ‘Family Pack’. For users of previous WALTR versions you can also get a discounted upgrade license.
