Twitter reveals Project Lightning. Like people, follow even events

Bam! Micro blog Twitter’s just given a glimpse into its ‘Top Secret’ project –  Project Lightning. The company will launch it later this year. Project Lightning will bring event-based curated Content to the Twitter platform, allowing users to follow ‘live’ events, like people. It will be complete with immersive & instant-load photos & videos, with the ability to embed those across the Web.
When it will come on, users will find on Twitter’s mobile app, a new button in the center of the home row. Press it & you’ll be taken to a screen that will show various events taking place that people are tweeting about. So it could be baseball matches, the Olympics, whatever. Essentially, if it’s an event that a lot of people are tweeting about, Twitter could create an experience around it.
