Micro-blog Twitter said Wednesday it was launching a ‘lite’ version of its mobile service. It was aimed at users who stayed in locations where the Internet connection was sporadic.
‘Twitter Lite’ will be aimed largely at users outside the United States. Twitter Lite works through a Web browser, not a stand-alone phone application.
The launch comes on the heels of similar products from others like Facebook & YouTube.
