IM Snapchat is numero uno among teenagers, shows a new survey by RBC Capital Markets.
A few key points from the survey:
About 79% of US 13- to 18-year-olds surveyed said they had a Snapchat account, more than any other type of social media. Of that age group, 73% had an Instagram account, & just 57% said they were on Facebook.
Respondents had to choose only 1 social network they could keep if they were “trapped on a deserted island.” This time, 44% of teens picked Snapchat, ahead of Instagram (24%) & Facebook (14%).
Snapchat users said the most important feature inside the app is messaging (68%), not Stories (28%) or Discover (4%).
