To kill a voicemail – an app for the millennial you

nomorevoicemail

Sick of getting rambling voicemails that demand an answer? Much prefer texting, or actually speaking to a person? You’re not alone. People feel that in this day & age, voicemail is like a dinosaur’s handshake. With this app, you don’t need to listen to, or return a voicemail again.

Named aptly, No More Voicemail is an app which doesn’t allow your caller to leave a voicemail. It operates on the premise that if your message is important enough, or you need to get in touch, you will text. Or email. So if you can’t answer your phone & take the call, the caller will only hear endless ringing. He will not be able to leave a voicemail. The app does not actually disable the voice messaging service from your carrier. It performs a clever masking instead. It uses the conditional call forwarding feature on your phone, to the Land of Endless Ringing, if you reject or don’t answer your phone. If you pick up, the app doesn’t engage.

New Jersey, US-located based TelTech Systems has developed this app for both, iOS & Android, to give you freedom from annoying voicemails. A pet peeve against voicemails also seems to be that you have to call your carrier to deactivate the system. If for some reason, you need it back on, you have to call them again. Who has the time? Texting is a much faster way to get in touch, as is messaging or emailing. The service is supported by these major networks at this time: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint & US Cellular. The company is in the business of developing “innovative & practical communication products”. Meir Cohen & Eli Finkleman are the co-Founders of this telecom based tech company.
