This startup offers use of Machine Learning to develop apps on mobile

machine learning platform

The Boston, US based Machine Learning (ML) startup Fritz has opened up its mobile ML platform to the public. Fritz is the end-to-end solution for on-device ML.

Developers can make use of its ready-to-use ML features under the label, ‘Alchemy’,  like image labeling & object detection, along with tools to protect & manage custom models. Everything runs directly on-device, which means it works offline, at high frame-rates, & keeps sensitive data in the hands of users. All ML features are available on both iOS & Android, said Fritz on its Website.

All of these features are free for unlimited use. In the coming months, Fritz will be adding more ready-to-use ML features & support for things like automatic optimization & release management for custom models.

Some of the apps that have started using Fritz during its private beta are PlantVillage, which uses on-device machine learning to detect evidence of crop diseases, MDAcne, for detecting cases of acne, to name a few.
