This bot offers anonymous messaging on Slack & much more – Bot

Slack is supposed to enhance collaboration between teams but most times people end up stepping on the same eggshells they normally do in the office. No one wants to call out the boss when he/she is making some mistakes since they fear for their career. Abot has noticed that & wants to correct that to ensure honest & unhinged communication between company employees.

Once added to Slack, team admins can enable as well as disable anonymous messaging. It is also possible to limit usage of the platform to various “whitelisted” channels or even to specific user groups.

Say a particular member of the team is performing unethically in the office. Once that is brought to the attention of the executives it might mean curtains for his career. However, if members of his/her team call them out on it they might change their behavior for the better. The best part is they get to keep their job. With Abot an individual will send an anonymous message & the receiver can choose whether to reply anonymously or not. Also, since they don’t necessarily know who sent that correspondence there will be no bad blood in the office.

Abot can also prove critical in decision making. While some people may disagree with an executive’s decision they may not voice that for fear of a negative reaction. This platform gives them an avenue to voice their concerns as well as the reasons they feel that a decision might not be exactly right.

In addition, management can use Abot to conduct surveys among the employees. As long as the parties involved know that their identity is unknown they will be more forthcoming with information.

That said anonymous communication has the potential to be abused by certain parties in the group. It is therefore paramount that use of the bot is regulated.

It is possible to take Abot for a free test run before actually deciding if it’s worthy to purchase. Just like the communication in Abot the creators of the platform have elected to remain anonymous.
