At any one time, you will find that most people use numerous Web & smartphone apps. Subsequently, all these apps require unique sign-in credentials & passwords. Most people can’t remember numerous different passwords for different accounts. It is for this reason that they will use the same one for different accounts. One can get the app on their iPhone from the App store or use the PC version. Once installed on the various devices, one is required to import all their accounts into the app. These include social media, Online store, & professional accounts. This is made easier by the use of the ‘DeseatMe’ Web app. Ctrlpanel will then continually generate & remember strong passwords for each of the accounts.
The user will also be given a master password so he/she can access the app. That password is the only one they may need to remember. Once they try to login to an account, for example Twitter, they will be prompted to give the sign in details. Ctrlpanel will be one of the app options that pop up. After it’s selected, the user will be required to give the master password. In the case of an iPhone, a fingerprint ID may suffice. The app will then fill in the login details enabling the user access to their account.
Ctrlpanel is compatible with all PC browsers. Once integrated, it will likely be found on the top right corner of a tab. The app offers a 7 day free trial period. Thereafter, the user will have to cough up a subscription fee for continual use.
The app was first launched in late 2016. Ctrlpanel is based in Sweden & is run by Wilhelm Dahlbo. Dahlbo also seems to be the creator of DeseatMe a Web app that helps people clean up their Online details. It enables users to view & delete their various Online accounts.
