‘The Stocks’ lets you hunt for free high quality stock photos

Finding high quality stock photos for your Website has never been easier. This Web-based service called ‘ The Stocks’ lets you search through 1000s of freely available photos & other graphic resources in one spot, aggregating a bunch of different Online sources.

The recently announced new version of the Website is smartly organized by categories to make it easy to find whatever it is you’re looking for. Most photos are Creative Commons CC0 (or Unsplash) licensed, so without asking permission, you can copy, modify or distribute them, even for commercial purposes. Most photos are sourced from places like Flickr, which means you should be able to directly embed them from the The Stocks Site.

You can start off browsing photos from well regarded source repositories like Pixabay, Free Range, Little Visuals, Jay Mantri, etc. Alternatively you can browse by category, with photos organized by collections, with “curated” & “featured” sections, where you’ll see beautiful stock photos that have been expertly handpicked for you.

Other resources besides photos are also available, like colors, icons, videos, mockups & fonts. Here you also have a list of repositories available to help you round out your website design, with excellent sources gathered all in one place.

The Stocks was founded by Ahmet Sülek, an Istanbul, Turkey-based entrepreneur, UX designer & front-end developer. He is known for having also developed products & services like Panda, CollectUI, Flat UI Colors, The Stacks & Limbotab. He has claimed elsewhere that ‘The Stocks’ is currently being used by over 25.000 people monthly & that the new version was a while in coming due to his incorporation of new tech to the site. Most noticeably, he is using Adobe XD & Vue.JS to the Site.
