The timing has a message in it. On the 10th anniversary of the launch of Apple’s iPhone, WeChat’s parent company Tencent Holdings launched a suite of Cloud-based smartphone apps called ‘ Mini Program’.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, analysts believe that WeChat intends to “play a leading role in the next decade” of the smartphone software business.
