Most of the users around the world who use Twitter may have realized this morning that the 140-character tweet is gone. It’s been replaced with a 280-character tweet. Longer tweets will now be the standard in every language where Twitter is available save for Chinese, Japanese, & Korean.

Twitter said on Tuesday that it would test extending the text limit of a post on its service to 280 characters.
Damn, it’s the infernal 140 characters. Twitter does away with the limit in replies.
It’s an app that allows you to post longer tweets of over 140 characters in your Twitter account. Also, TweetyPad lets you post on other social media platforms such as Facebook, Tumblr, to name some.
Well, the 140 character limit’s not gone but micro-blog Twitter said today it was rolling out expanded tweets around the world.
